This antique teddy bear was spotted in my local antique shop.
He looks like he is in very good condition! He has definitely been looking after himself! Perhaps he needs a little work on his foot...

He is sitting on a really nice rocking chair, the kind that rocks on itself and not on the floor, so may be safer for the we little bears on the ground next to the chair! ... We won't get squashed by the chair rockers while we all listen to the old bear stories being told by the big old bear in the chair!!!

Do you have a special story telling chair? Perhaps by the fire, for a cosy time with some hot milky chocolate, sweetened with honey, of course!

It seems that a good place to go is to your local garden centre...


This little bear was spotted near the valentines card collection.

He seemed to be on his own, so either all his friends had already found good homes, or they had just popped out for a bite to eat ready for their teddy bears picnic and would be back soon!!

Here are some Teddy Bears enjoying a picnic with some other animal friends...


Look at them in the bright sunshine!
I wonder where they are? Certainly not near where we are! It is really cold around here at the moment - January in England!! Brrrrr!!!
Well, they sent us this card to cheer us up with some nice warm Bear Hugs from their Teddy Bears picnic... Tea, Cakes, Fruit Tarts and Teddy Angel Cakes... Mmmmm - It all looks so delicious!!
Don't you wish you were there too?
Why not have a teddy bear's picnic of your own? I know I will! I have a few friends in mind to share a great time ... I'll call them right now! I hope you call your bear friends too!

Did you know that there is a special day devoted to the world's favourite teddy bear?
Winnie the Pooh day is celebrated on the 18th of January every year.
The date is the birthday of the author of the Winnie the pooh books, A.A.Milne.
Alan Alexander Milne was born in 1882, and wrote about his son's toy animals and their adventures.
Winnie the pooh is the most popular and is the central character ... as ALL bears should be ... with his best friend piglet.
Winnie the Pooh Day is celebrated throughout the world with many people having bear activities for kids and many great parties.
... If they are near a stream or river with a foot bridge over it, I'm sire that there will be a game of Pooh-Sticks to be played, and many teddy bears picnics!

Take a look at this wooden bear statue.



This picture of a bear shows the wooden bear holding a heart on front of him.
This figure of a bear was hand carved out of wood and carefully dyed to pick out each of the bear's features. Dark brown for the bear's nose, bears ears, and bear paws and peace bear eyes...
Not forgetting, of course, the big red heart, especially for valentines day, which is only a few weeks away!

Teddy Bear Wrapping Paper

I received a belated Christmas present (due to snow and other circumstances ...) which Santa had wrapped with special hand made paper...


As you can see, Santa knew of my favourite animal and produced the best bear wrapping paper...
And the gifts were bears too...
A wonderful wooden bear statue, and a great bear book, with lots of pictures of bears and interesting bear facts too.
I can't wait to read it and tell you all about it...

Here is a really nice cuddly polar bear!


I just want to give him a really big bear hug. His bear fur looks sooo soft you could loose yourself in it, couldn't you?
I wonder if he has just spotted a cuddly seal to play with?
